How it began
Our Story
SVibe’s journey began over 35 years ago with a single, powerful idea: to help people forge happier, healthier relationships through better understanding of sexuality.
Our founders, a husband-and-wife team of pioneering sexologists, planted the first seeds of our legacy in the study of sexual psychology, exploring how intimacy impacts relationships and how science-backed tools can make a difference.
What started as a small family-run sexual wellness clinic in Russia soon blossomed into the country’s very first adult wellness center, born in 1988, not as a business venture but as a heartfelt solution to real medical and psychological needs.

Founders
The heart of SVibe traces back to two pioneers who weren’t just entrepreneurs — they were scientists, educators, and compassionate problem-solvers. Long before the brand existed, our founders were deeply immersed in the field of sexology. In the late 1980s, they became early advocates for a more serious and structured approach to sexual wellness, combining clinical research with real-world application.
Their work began at the St. Petersburg University of Neurology, where one focused on neurological conditions affecting male sexuality, while the other specialized in female sexual health and psychological barriers to intimacy. Together, they explored how physical and emotional factors intersect in relationships — long before such conversations were common or welcomed.
Opening our first
Sex Shop
In 1990 the couple opened their first sex shop.
Demand was immediate and overwhelming. Visitors formed two-hour lines outside our first store, eager for guidance and access to quality intimate products in a society that had little reliable information. Even local authorities dropped by, not to interfere, but out of curiosity, a testament to how revolutionary and needed our mission was.
We weren’t just selling devices; we were educating and uplifting. Our family engaged in public awareness campaigns, from publishing articles in popular science magazines to hosting educational TV segments, all aimed at breaking taboos and spreading knowledge about sexual health. This multigenerational commitment to empathy, expertise, and education forms the bedrock of SVibe’s identity.

After decades immersed in every corner of the sexual wellness world, from retail to distribution to e-commerce, our founding team had seen the industry evolve, but not always progress. Too often, "new" simply meant a fresh colorway or updated packaging, with little real impact on user experience.

In January 2024, when SVibe Curve earned the prestigious 'O' Award for Best Powered Product, we had a revelation. One pivotal moment, one trophy, and we saw that our ambitions were much bigger than a single product line.

“We came to the realization that the brand Snail Vibe cannot contain all of our ideas, plans, and most importantly – innovation that we want to share with the world. We want to go further, unconstrained.”
